Contract Administrator – Remote or Juno Beach, FL – Federal Hub Gas Plant Contract Administration
Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support high-priority Federal Hub gas plant projects within the Engineering & Construction business unit. This is a 12 month contract assignment based in Juno Beach, FL, with a standard shift. The role is Juno Beach-preferred, but our client is open to remote workers for the right candidate.
This position supports a schedule-driven gas generation project and requires a candidate comfortable operating in a fast-paced, compressed-timeline environment. You will be the primary point of contact between the project team and the Federal Hub Owner's Representative, ensuring all contractual obligations, deliverables, and milestones are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage all prime contract obligations under Federal Hub contracts, ensuring performance aligns with contractual requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with the internal Federal Hubs Program Office (FPO) and stakeholders on contract performance reporting, schedule submittals, and required certifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and the Federal Hub Owner's Representative for all contract-related correspondence and formal communications.
- Maintain a contract deliverables requirements matrix (CDRM) and ensure timely submission of all required reports, plans, and documentation.
- Review, interpret, and flow down applicable Federal Hub contract clauses to the project team, including EPC obligations, equipment supplier requirements, and service provider responsibilities.
- Track and administer RFI, submittal, and correspondence logs to maintain a defensible contemporaneous record of project decisions and commitments.
- Lead the identification, preparation, pricing, and negotiation of contract modifications, change orders, and equitable adjustments in coordination with project controls and legal.
- Participate in project schedule reviews to assess contractual risk associated with the compressed construction timeline and flag exposure related to liquidated damages or key milestone obligations.
- Conduct contract closeout activities including final invoice reconciliation, release of liens, demobilization verification, and submission of all required closeout certifications and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive project management or contract administration experience, ideally within energy, construction, or EPC environments.
- Strong understanding of prime contract administration, change order management, and equitable adjustment processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contract deliverables matrices, RFI logs, and formal correspondence in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience serving as a primary point of contact for owner representatives or external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with standard project management and contract tracking tools.
- Valid, non-restricted driver's license with no alcohol/drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years (driving is required as part of position duties).
Preferred Skills
Candidates with prior experience on Federal Hub or federally regulated gas generation projects are encouraged to highlight that background.
