Senior SAP ABAP Developer – Juno Beach, FL (Onsite) – S/4HANA Integration
Our client is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to serve as a core technical delivery resource for enhancements. This contract role is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of ABAP-based solutions across SAP S/4HANA, including custom interfaces, workflow enhancements, procurement transaction enhancements, and integration services connecting SAP to GEP and other external platforms.
This position requires deep hands-on ABAP expertise combined with a strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and procurement business processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop SAP enhancements including custom programs, reports, forms, and workflows.
- Build and maintain custom interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and external applications, including the GEP procurement platform.
- Enhance procurement, invoicing, accounts payable, and supply chain transactions using Enhancement Framework, BADIs, and User Exits.
- Develop OData services and REST APIs to support integration and reporting requirements.
- Create and modify Adobe Forms and SmartForms for output and document generation.
- Develop CDS Views for reporting, analytics, and Fiori app enablement.
- Conduct code reviews, prepare technical design documentation, and provide peer mentoring.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical defects identified during testing and post-go-live phases.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience (mandatory); ECC experience acceptable in addition.
- Proficiency with OData Services, REST APIs, and RFC/BAPI-based integrations.
- Strong experience with CDS Views, ABAP Dictionary, and Open SQL.
- Experience with Adobe Forms, SmartForms, and SAPscript.
- Expertise in Enhancement Framework, BADIs, User Exits, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements.
- Exposure to MM, FI/AP, or procurement modules preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in an SAP procurement or P2P implementation program (S/4HANA preferred).
- Familiarity with GEP SMART or equivalent procurement platforms.
- SAP certification in ABAP or S/4HANA development.
- Experience supporting end-to-end testing cycles including SIT and UAT.
- Knowledge of SAP Workflow (SWDD), ALV Reports, and SAP Fiori.
