IT Software Developer Analyst – Jupiter, FL (Onsite)
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Software Developer Analyst to join their Nuclear Cyber Assessment & Vulnerability Management Enhancement team. This is a contract role requiring full-time onsite presence in Jupiter, Florida, for approximately five months. You will play a key part in designing, building, and maintaining software solutions that directly support critical nuclear cyber security initiatives.
We are looking for a strong full-stack developer who thrives in a modern, cloud-native environment. You will work across the stack, from crafting responsive front-end interfaces to engineering robust back-end services and optimizing database performance. Your work will have a direct impact on the security posture of essential infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications that support nuclear cyber security programs.
- Architect, build, and deploy scalable, resilient solutions using a suite of AWS cloud services.
- Develop and optimize complex database schemas, write efficient queries, and implement advanced indexing strategies to ensure high performance.
- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation, including designs, processes, and configurations, within Confluence.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including cyber security analysts and infrastructure engineers, to deliver high-quality, secure software.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and the adoption of new technologies within the team.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- Demonstrated proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Angular, and NestJS.
- Strong, hands-on experience with core AWS services: Lambda, ECS, CloudFormation (CFT), CloudWatch (CW), S3, and Secrets Manager (SM).
- Solid experience working with PostgreSQL and containerization using Docker.
- Expertise in database design and performance optimization, including DDL and indexing best practices.
- Excellent technical documentation skills with a proven ability to create clear artifacts in Confluence.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and able to successfully pass Nuclear Part 810 screening.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using JIRA for agile project management, including creating and managing user stories and tasks.
- Familiarity with test automation and management tools such as QMetry or Playwright for feature testing and test case execution.
