Project Manager – Nuclear – Homestead, FL (On-site) – 12-Month Contract


About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-impact nuclear projects from conception through closeout at their Homestead, Florida facility. This 12-month contract role is responsible for driving project momentum, controlling costs, and ensuring schedule adherence while maintaining the highest industry standards. The position requires periodic travel to other nuclear sites to support outages and planned initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings 9+ years of project management expertise, deep proficiency in Primavera P6 and NEO, and a proven track record of aligning project outcomes with best-in-class nuclear performance. You will serve as a key integrator across engineering, construction, and functional teams, coaching schedulers and cost engineers while managing all project controls and reporting systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring all milestones are met on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, cost analyses, schedules, estimates, and status reports to communicate deliverables and progress.
  • Coordinate engineering, construction, and cross-functional resources to achieve project objectives efficiently.
  • Coach and mentor schedulers, cost engineers, and estimators on project significance and best practices.
  • Manage all project controls and systems to support development tasks and maintain data integrity.
  • Surface risks and recommendations proactively, driving resolution to keep projects on track.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned to support nuclear objectives.


Required Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in project management, with demonstrated ability to lead projects from conception to closeout.
  • Proven expertise in nuclear projects and alignment with best industry performance standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, NEO, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of project controls, cost analysis, and scheduling principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel periodically to other nuclear sites to support outages or planned projects.
  • Must be able to obtain unescorted badge access into nuclear protected areas.
