About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-wide initiatives within their Messaging and Collaboration portfolio. This contract role, based on-site in Juno Beach, FL, offers a 12-month engagement where you will drive the modernization and operational excellence of Microsoft 365 platforms, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. You will partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic projects that align with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
This is a hands-on project leadership position requiring deep technical fluency in M365 collaboration tools and a proven track record of managing large-scale migrations and governance implementations. You will thrive in a matrixed environment, balancing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining clear executive-level communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT projects focused on Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams platform modernization and operations.
- Drive migration strategies, including mail flow transitions, SharePoint site consolidation, and Teams governance implementation.
- Define and manage project scope, schedules, resource plans, budgets, and success criteria.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and deliver executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party deliverables, including integrations with Microsoft, Proofpoint, and ServiceNow.
- Coordinate with offshore and onshore support teams to balance operational and strategic workloads effectively.
- Ensure compliance with M365 security, change management, and governance requirements throughout all project phases.
- Lead post-project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the PMO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of IT project management experience with a focus on complex, enterprise-level initiatives.
- PMP certification or an equivalent, recognized project management credential.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing complex projects in a matrixed organization.
- Strong proficiency with project management platforms such as Jira and ServiceNow.
- Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail and budget accountability.
Preferred Skills
- Agile/Scrum or SAFe certification.
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or another regulated industry sector.
- Familiarity with Exchange Online mail flow, SMTP relay modernization, OAuth 2.0, and DMARC/DKIM configurations.
- Experience managing SharePoint migrations, governance frameworks, and information architecture.
- Hands-on project delivery involving Teams governance, licensing, and meeting infrastructure.
- Experience managing offshore delivery teams.
