About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Engineering & Construction (E&C) Business Unit in Juno Beach, FL. This contract role focuses on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects and is responsible for daily coordination of internal and external resources across Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction. You will guide projects from early-stage pre-construction through to a seamless handoff to the Construction Project Manager.

This is not a single-project position. You will manage a portfolio of multiple BESS projects at varying stages across the United States and Canada, requiring occasional travel to project sites and public hearings.

Key Responsibilities

• Orchestrate highly matrixed project development teams to align resources with schedule priorities and drive on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection stakeholders to identify and incorporate all project variables.
• Define and refine the project's technical scope, optimizing variables to enhance both technical and financial feasibility.
• Support origination and development teams in PPA and GIA negotiations, as well as jurisdictional requirements.
• Partner with engineering, estimating, and procurement to align technical designs, cost models, and sourcing strategies.
• Build, present, and steward financial models through executive budget approvals, leveraging market data to maintain a healthy business case.
• Competitively source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
• Leverage software applications to manage critical data, deliverables, and key performance indicators while driving process improvements.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to Executive Leadership, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure a smooth transition to the Construction stage by delivering an inclusive, executable construction plan to the Construction Project Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering and construction of renewable energy projects.
• Valid driver's license with no alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years.
• Excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting.
• Experience with electricity markets, renewables, and/or battery energy storage projects.
• PMP Certification.
• Advanced Excel skills.
