Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead advanced technical, financial, and regulatory planning for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. 2. Manage critical coordination of highly matrixed project development teams, ensuring resources are focused on the right activities to meet project schedules.
  3. Coordinate environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, and other project variables to ensure comprehensive project development.
  4. Develop and optimize the project's technical scope and variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility.
  5. Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations, as well as jurisdictional requirements.
  6. Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement needs to support the development of financial models and project designs.
  7. Competitively source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services, including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
  8. Present financial models to business units, manage them through executive budget approvals, and communicate project progress and risk mitigation strategies to leadership and external stakeholders.
  9. Ensure seamless handover of projects moving to the construction stage, delivering an inclusive and executable construction plan to the Construction Project Manager.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering, economics, or construction preferred.
  3. Advanced Excel skills and excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Valid driver's license with no alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years; license must not be suspended or restricted.
  5. Willingness to travel occasionally to project locations and support Development with local public hearings.
